Student Residence Budapest (SRB) provide exceptional living spaces for students attending a university or schools in Budapest. Our service has experience developing relationships with schools and students alike. We are committed to personal service 24 hours a day to ensure the short and long-term satisfaction of all our students.

Budapest is one of the most highly desired locations for travelers and students. At our residence you will gain valuable learning and lifetime experiences.

The Residence building called "Casa de la Música" is a historic, listed building in attractive neigborhood. Situated in the city center, close to public transport. Easy access to all Subways and 15 minutes walks from Railway stations.

The Residence caters for about 40 students in single or shared rooms. Small, clean and quiet with a friendly atmosphere, it is ideal for female students on full study or on a short holiday.

The Student Residence is highly recommended for those who want to live with community feel among young and fun people and want to experience a stimulating environment. The majority of the students in the Student Residence are International so you have a great opportunity to get to know people from all around the world.

Friendly, helpful staff

Our friendly staff are available to help with every need from the routine maintenance repair to emotional support in times of stress or joy. We offer a unique living environment that goes beyond the scope of other student accommodation. We do everything possible to provide a safe, caring home during your time in Budapest.

Fully furnished student accommodation

Our residence is situating on a two top floors of the building accommodating up to 40 students staying in the rooms. We have single, twin, double, mixed 4 or female 4 beds shared rooms. Rates vary according to your choice.

Rooms are fully furnished with bed and mattress, study desk, mirror, chair, study lamp.

All bedding is supplied (pillow, blankets and linen). Bed linen is laundered by a weekly service (cost 25 Euro per month).

Vacuum cleaners are provided on each floor for students to clean their personal room.

Gas, electricity and water are all inclusive in price.

Rooms are with shared bathrooms and a shared Cooking Lounge.

Safe, homely student rooms

Entrance doors are all fitted with security codes. The building is fully fitted with smoke detectors and the rooms are NON smoking. Smoking is allowed in our cafeshop and on our open terrace.

Clean bathrooms

Separate men's / women's bathrooms and toilets are available on each level, and like the kitchen, they are cleaned every morning. Toilet paper and paper hand towels are provided in bathrooms.

Internet access and computers

Free wireless internet available.

For students who don't have their own computers, there are a computer rooms with a computer and a printer available 24 hours.

EVENTS ORGANISED BY STAFF

The manager and staff arrange a number of events during the year. Some of them are educational, eg seminars on history or on arts. Others are social activities, eg celebration for Chrismas in July, St Patrick’s Day, football and games, etc.

EVENTS ORGANISED BY STUDENTS

Formal and informal activities are organized by students during the year, including beach trips, weekend camps and music concerts. Those organized are limited only by imagination and time available. They do the major organizing of the theme and events for the Formal and after party.

Kitchen is fully furnished with refrigerators, freezers, microwave ovens and hot plates.

Extra programs: bikes, football & music events services, taxi service, pubs and bars, massage, tours and travel, yoga and therapies, flamenco show.

Academic Year is from September to April. Academic Year is defined as two semesters or eight months. Rates subject to change.

Affordable student accommodation rates

Bond = 200 EURO (refundable covers key deposit, damage deposit & fine for infractions)

Single Room = 250 EURO per month

Twin Shared Room = 150 EURO per person / per month

Four Bed Shared Room = 125 EURO per person / per month

Four Bed Female Shared Room = 125 EURO per person / per month

Four months (one semester) fees have to pay in advance.

Late payments will be charged a $50.00 fee, plus applicable interest charges. Returned payments will be charged $50.00 fee.

Daily cleaning of room cost extra 25 EURO per person / per month.

You can opt for half and full board or without board as well as have your clothes washed once a week.

The accommodation fees not include the VAT (government tax at 25%)

Closing time for all residents:

Monday to Thursday: 22:30 (can be extended on request)

Friday to Sunday: 23:30 (can be extended on request)

The use or possession of drugs or alcohol is prohibited.  Any breach of this rule will lead to immediate eviction.

No noise is permitted after 23.00.

Student Residence is available for periods from September to June. During the summer months it operates as Youth Hostel with a different fees.

- Breakfast is served from 7.30-10.00 Monday to Friday and from 9.00-11.00 on Saturday, Sunday.

- Lunch is served from 14.00-15.45 Monday to Sunday.

- Dinner is served from 20.30-22.00 Monday to Sunday. If you are not there at this time, the catering staff can save you a meal if you advise them in advance.

If you book no meal service, there is a kitchen fully equipped with all the essentials: utensils, stoves, ovens, microwaves, electric coffee makers and refrigerators.

There fridges in the residence to store you own food and a microwave is available for your use.

Green Residence

Casa de la Música is making environmentally conscious choices. We seek to conserve energy, reduce waste, maximize recycling and educate others.

Staff and residents are always encouraged to contribute ideas and suggestions to further reduce our combined environmental footprint.

Majority of building light is energy efficient.

All rooms offer individual heat control for efficient personal use and conservation.

Water savers are installed in all showers.

Recycling on every floor and mini-bins provided in rooms.

All cooking oil used is trans-fat free and recycled where possible.

4. Photocopy your school acceptance letter or timetable

5. Fax the forms and await approval.*

6. Mail original forms with the non-refundable payment for Term one.

* Once approved, you’ll receive immediate notice of a room being held for you by return email. You will be advised as to the full amount due.

The Contract at Casa de la Música is for 8 months in length. Student Residence Budapest will only accept payment in Euro in the form of a bank draft, certified cheque, or a money order.

Student Residence Budapest works on a first come, first serve basis so apply early!
